HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY THROUGH THE EYES OF RENOIR
French Impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s family was a constant subject of inspiration and creativity, particularly his wife Aline, who began modeling for him soon after they met in Paris in the early 1880s. By 1886, they already had their first son Pierre (1885-1952) seen above lovingly held by his mother Aline. Pierre would be followed by two younger brothers, Jean (1894-1979) and Claude (“Coco”) (1901-1969), all of them pursuing careers in the arts.
