Who was she? Did Renoir love her or was she just another model? A beauty with reddish-blond hair, attired in what has been described as a peignoir, meant primarily to be worn in the more intimate environment of one’s home. Long and flowing, enhancing her graceful figure that leans forward as she plays the piano. Concentrating on the musical score before her which only she can read. Is it perhaps a waltz or ballade by Chopin? Vibrating through this Impressionist vision of rich, multi-colors including turquoise, russet, and even emerald, applied with the magical genius of Renoir’s brush.
