Alfred Sisley, Landscape at Louveciennes, 1873, oil on canvas, National Museum of Western Art, Tokyo, Japan
French Impressionist Alfred Sisley (1839-1899) lived in Louveciennes, a suburb of Paris in the 1870s, creating many landscapes of the town and surrounding countryside. Although the snow scene above was supposedly done at nearby Argenteuil, is it perhaps more likely that the site is Louveciennes?
