Dutch iconic artist Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) lived in Paris from 1886-1888.  During this period, his vision of art was changed dramatically by the style of the Impressionists, particularly their use of color and light, evident in Van Gogh’s series of paintings set in the suburb of Asnieres, on the border of Paris.
