Both Mary Cassatt (1844-1926) and Berthe Morisot (1841-1895) were contemporaries and important members of the Impressionist movement.  Children dominated their works, whether the engaging young girl above, who might actually be Morisot’s own daughter Julie or the eight year old boy below, Charles Dikran Kelekian (1900-1982), someday an influential collector of antiquities.
