British artist Frederick Walker (1840-1875) was a respected painter and illustrator, who portrayed a variety of scenes reflecting English life, from the bucolic garden above to the squalid conditions of the homeless.  Benjamin Disraeli (1804-1881) is considered one of the most renowned prime ministers of Great Britain; he also was a novelist.
