Julius Paulsen, Self-Portrait with Soft Hat, 1900, oil, Trapholt, Kolding, Denmark

Danish artist Julius Paulsen (1860-1940) was influenced by Dutch master Rembrandt who created more self portraits than any other painter in the history of art.  Like Rembrandt, Paulsen portrayed various stages of his life, here at the ages of  40 and 62.
