Early in his decades long career, Impressionist great Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919) welcomed in the spring with the vibrant arrangement above. Ellis Peters was the pen name of British mystery author Edith Mary Parameter (1913-1995), whose Brother Cadfael series, set in the Middle Ages, aired on PBS’s Masterpiece Theater.
