The blizzard of 2016 is finally over in the Washington, D.C. area where I live and I seem to have somehow survived. So it is truly A Snowy Monday, although my suburban neighborhood barely resembles the New Hampshire backwoods painted by American Impressionist Lila Cabot Perry (1848-1933) nearly a century ago.  The words of seventeenth century English clergyman Matthew Henry (1662-1714), based on the New Testament, certainly apply too to my present state of mind.
