Irish portraitist William Orpen (1878-1931) takes us into an era that has largely disappeared, ended by the destruction and carnage of World War I; French fashion genius Coco Chanel (1883-1971) may have died nearly 50 years ago, but her impact on both clothing, perfume and other aspects of style endures.
