I just returned from Prague and in honor of my trip to this cultural center of the Czech Republic, I’ve posted one of the elegant Art Nouveau posters (intended for advertising champagne) of native son Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939).  Although he initially established his artistic reputation abroad in Paris, Mucha also devoted himself to furthering the nationalistic identity of his country in such monumental works as The Slav Epic.
