A DOG’S DOMAIN

That indescribably delightful feeling of seclusion from the hustle bustle of the world.

Lilla Hyttnas was the center of the artistic as well as personal life of Swedish master Carl Larsson (1853-1919).  In a series of popular books, he recreated its colorfully decorated rooms (designed by his wife Karin), usually featuring one or more of his 8 children.  In The Verandah, though, Larsson takes us outside to meet the family pet sunning himself on his favorite stoop.
