Viennese superstar artist Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) created some of the most famous icons of modern art including Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer (the subject of 2015 movie Woman in Gold) and The Kiss. However, during his summers at Lake Attersee just outside of Vienna, Klimt produced dozens of landscapes of the natural beauty of the mountains and woods that still attract vacationeers today.
