Catalan Spanish artist Joaquin Mir Trinxet (1873-1940) was a master of color, using his brilliant palette to reach our souls as he indicated in the quote above.  Although his home was in Barcelona, he spent time in the countryside interpreting the unique landscape of Catalonia.
