Arts Everyday Living: Impressionist Renoir and Expressionist Macke—Roses and Geraniums

French Impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919) often created paintings of vases overflowing with unforgettable roses and other flowers as seen above.  However, while below German Expressionist August Macke (1887-1914) focuses on just two  geraniums defined with striking red colors.
