Arts Everyday Living: Gardens of Spring & Summer—Blossoming Flowers, White Birch Grove

Stanislaw Kamocki, Flowers in Front of Cottage, 1903-1907, oil on canvas, National Museum Krakow, Poland

Whether it’s spring or summer, gardens invite us into their realm of blossoming flowers and verdant trees. I could find little information on Polish artist Stanislaw Kamocki (1875-1944) but his painting above is overflowing with the bounty of nature.  German Impressionist Max Liebermann (1847-1935) was honored in his native country for his creative contributions, until the Nazi regime banned him from the art world because of his Jewish heritage.
