Fishing seems to be the favorite form of loafing.

Jean-Louis Forain (1852-1931) was a French Impressionist, exhibiting in several of their group shows; he admired Degas, often depicting scenes of Parisian night life as well as ballet dancers. American E. W. or Edgar Watson Howe (1853-1937) established a reputation as a novelist plus newspaper and magazine editor, particularly known for his humor.
