THE ART OF THE BLIZZARD!

THROUGH AN IMPRESSIONIST’S EYES

John Henry Twachtman

John Henry Twachtman, Round Hill Road, 1890-1900, oil on canvas, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, D.C.

American impressionist John Henry Twachtman (1853-1902) may have loved to paint the snowy landscapes of his home on Round Hill Road in Greenwich, Connecticut, but I’m not so enthusiastic about the blizzard arriving in my backyard outside Washington, D.C. this weekend.  Hopefully, I’ll still have electricity when you see this blog!
