Kahlil Gibran, Sand and Foam
Before Dutch modernist Piet Mondrian (1872-1944) created his series of abstract works of geometric forms and basic colors, he portrayed the more recognizable image of a tree above, transformed by the glow of evening light. Kahlil Gibran (1883-1931) is a beloved Lebanese-American poet whose book The Prophet continues to draw seekers of spiritual enlightenment.
